Board of Directors

Board Chairman

John Mramba

John Marmba joined the CompuLynx board in September 2016. Mr. Marmba brings over 38 years of experience in the technology industry.

He serves as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at the Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) Pension Fund and the Vice-Chair of the Council of the Flying Doctors Society of Africa.

Most recently, serviced as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC); Communication Concepts Limited; Mobil Oil Kenya Community Programme; University of Nairobi-School of Journalism Alumni Association and the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK).

Before this, Mr. Marmba served on other boards including the Board of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and St. Luke’s Hospital, Kaloleni in Mombasa.

In addition to his services in governance, he is the former Secretary-General of the Federation of African Public Relations Associations (FAPRA) as well as a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA). He was the Managing Director /CEO of Communication Concepts Limited (CCL); Director of Information and Communications at the African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF); the Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) and at the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE).

Founder and CEO

Sailesh Savani

Known for his high energy and people-driven nature Sailesh Savani understands his title as CEO of CompuLynx to mean Chief Energizing Officer.

Co-founder and CEO of CompuLynx, Sailesh is a career techprenuer with over 30+ years of industry experience having started as a programmer. Since 1994 he has invested a great deal of energy in driving CompuLynx from a single-office, 2-man upstart to its current 150-staff global status with over 400 customers in over 30 countries around the world.

Born in Calcutta, India, Sailesh is a pioneer and a visionary who has spearheaded revolutionary technological innovations that include innovative application for POS in Retail, application of Smart Cards in wild life park access & payments, smart card-based Customer Loyalty programs, and application of biometric technology to replace passwords in Retail applications and Core Banking applications among other advances.

Sailesh is a graduate of Bombay University possessing a degree in Commerce and a Diploma in Computer Science, a graduate of Entrepreneurs Master Program from MIT, Boston USA, playing strategic roles in the development and deployment of end-to-end solutions in domains of Retail, Digital Identity, Fraud, and Loss Prevention.

Always in pursuit of his and the company’s purpose to build “Technology for a Better Tomorrow”, Sailesh’s resourcefulness is best attested by the fact that he served as a board member of several enterprises including Nakumatt Supermarkets, EAN Kenya (the pioneering bar-coding in Kenya), and Entrepreneurs’ Organisation East Africa. He is also a member of Smart Cards and Biometrics Technical Committee of the Kenya Bureau of Standards.

The Chief CompuLynx energizer, visionary and strategist is married to Krishna. The couple has a son and a daughter. And all that energy and drive gets replenished through listening, singing and playing music, cooking, traveling and playing badminton.

Peter Reinartz

Peter Reinartz joined the CompuLynx board in June 2015. Mr. Reinartz brings over 29 years of experience in the technology industry specifically: telecom, “triple play”, digital content, infrastructure and related areas. Holder of a Master of Business Administration – Louvain University.

He Currently he serves as the Managing Director (MD) at Balozi Communications, KE., Prior to that, he has served as MD at Eaton Towers Kenya Ltd., as well as MD & Group COO at Wananchi Group Kenya Ltd. Mr. Reinartz was formerly Deputy CEO at Telkom Kenya Ltd, VP & Country MD for Belgium & Luxembourg at Orange Business Services.

Internationally, Mr. Reinartz has served as Interim Director at Global One Communications (Orange group), CEO at A2000 (UPC group), Netherlands. CEO at TVD Radio Public (UPC group), Belgium.CEO at Slovatel (UPC group), Slovakia.

Co-Founder and Director

Mehul Savani

Mehul Savani, the Co-founder and Managing Director of CompuLynx. Mehul founded the company with his brother Sailesh Savani and took charge of the Administration and Finance of the company, until 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University in India.

Mehul has recently transitioned out of a day-to-day role in the company to spend more time on his film production company that produces Feature Films, Documentaries, and TV drama series based in Nairobi, Kenya since 2014. Mehul continues to serve on the CompuLynx board and as a director and advisor on key development projects.

With more than 20 years of international business experience under his belt, Mehul thrives on the challenge of the business industry.  His capability to multi-task and varied interests have made him successfully manage both the businesses.

Driven by his passion for arts, Mehul ventured into media in the early days of his career as a Radio presenter in one of the local stations. In his spare time, Mehul connects in leading the Indian community in Kenya.

Group Financial Controller

Chidam Subramanian

Chidam Subramanian is the Group Financial Controller leading CompuLynx’s group finance organization, including acquisitions, treasury activities, tax planning, stock pricing, accounting and reporting, and internal audit and investor relations.

Chidam joined CompuLynx in 2019 with over 26 years of experience spanning business optimization, corporate finance, treasury, and corporate development.  Most recently, Chidam served as Finance Director at a Tours and Travel Company, a role he had grown into starting form an Account. With more than two decades at Somak Travel Ltd. Chidam led the design of the optimum capital structure and financial strategy for the company keeping in mind capital expansion for the existing business, investment in new projects and short-term cash optimization.

Chidam holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Financial Accounting & Auditing) from the University of Bombay, India and a Diploma in Computer Management from Datapro Information Technology, Bombay, India. Among other professional affiliations, Chidam has served in the capacity of Chairman of “Stray Group of Cricket Club” in Kenya, South Indian Cultural Society of Kenya and Kerala Association of Kenya in addition to serving as Treasurer for Cricket Kenya.

Business Head, BFS and Government

Chaula Ganatra

Chaula Ganatra is the Business Head of Banking Financial Services and Government, which drives commercial business strategy for enterprise, public sector, banks, Micro-finance and Sacco’s. She’s a critical spearhead of CompuLynx’s expansion into the rest of Africa on the Identity Management, Fraud and Loss Prevention practice.

Chaula joined CompuLynx in 2003 as Research Assistant and in her more than 16 years at CompuLynx, Chaula has held a variety of leadership positions. Most recently, prior to taking this role of Business Head, BFS and Government, she served as the Business Head- IMFLP responsible for growth and sales targets for digital identity solutions and Fraud and Loss Prevention solutions.

A seasoned professional with over 15 years’ experience in technology and sales field across markets; Chaula drives Strategic Business Initiatives with external partners around the world, ranging from start-ups to large-scale enterprises, to identify areas of collaboration, drive innovation and unlock shared value.

Most recently, Chaula was named Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government from Global CEO Excellence Awards in year 2018. Chaula holds a Master’s degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounts. She is deeply committed to her professional development and recently completed a coaching engagement with renowned International Leadership Coach and Executive Educator Smruti Patel.

Business Head Retail & Education

Vicky Buvaria

Vicky Buvaria is Head of Business – Retail & Education for CompuLynx leading in strategic retail business development and acquisition across Africa and Middle East regions.

Vicky’s value to CompuLynx is best represented by the length of time he has worked for the company – since 2001. Within that period, he has notched up experience in business development and sales, developed expertise in cultivating and securing strategic business relationships, and honed his skills in resolving customer and project issues.

Vicky is a key participant in developing the Retail POS and ERP solutions go-to-market strategy, sales planning, and coaching sales teams on complex sales and account planning. He has 18+ years’ experience selling IT solutions to large and small retailers including Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, Mini-shops, Apparels and Duty Shops among others, and Education Institutions globally.

Probably as befits a man of his skills and professional status, he is multi-lingual, adding Kiswahili and Bengali to his English and Gujarati. A man of such vast skill range and solid consistency makes things happen and gains recognition – as Vicky has done. Vicky has won the CompuLynx Jewel Award in 2007 and won the Best Manager People’s Choice Award 2008.

Head of Retail Development

Siddesh Narkar

Siddesh Narkar is the Head of Retail Development at CompuLynx leading the company’s overall Retail strategy and forward-looking research and development efforts spanning infrastructure, services and apps.  He oversees retail POS-focused product groups including NEXX- retail ERP.

Siddesh joined CompuLynx since 2003 as a Sr. Software Developer and held several Project management roles to his current position. He has played a major role in defining the company’s Retail Product strategy and its Architecture. Siddesh is top on his game and strikes a perfect balance between the Business and Technical team.

Siddesh has 17+ years of qualitative and rich experience in Strategic Planning, Solution Architecture, Business Unit Development, Program and Product Management. Besides his retail expertise, he understands smart card technology, EFT and fiscal devices and has successfully planted solutions in and around CompuLynx’s Retail Solution.

He holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration and currently doing specialization in Supply Chain Management. Born and brought up in Mumbai, Siddesh is basically a science graduate but his tremendous love towards technology helped him to earn graduation from NIT and get certification on Microsoft as a solution developer.

Head of Technical Services

Richard Ngua

When it comes to the provision of technical services, Richard Ngua is the go-to guy. Having been with Compulynx for over 15 years, Richard rose up the corporate ladder from a Hardware Engineer to being CompuLynx’s Head of Technical Services owing to his continuous quest for learning, his ability to figure out any equipment without any prior knowledge.

Richard’s brief includes the implementation and maintenance of Entrust DataCard central issuance, Desktop Card Personalization systems, and EMV software and related systems. He also designs structured networks/cabling, installs and implements Access Control and Time management Systems, also plans and implements Sensormatic Anti-Theft and loss prevention systems (EAS).

Previously, Richard worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Centurion Systems. Educated at the Kenya Christian Industrial Training Institute, Richard has cleanly and perfectly integrated into the CompuLynx landscape to become part of a firm that is steadily acquiring a global reputation for cutting-edge technological innovations and solutions.

Richard’s skills are vast and might be categorized as both technical, business and leadership. He successfully leads his team of engineers and consultants and continually inspires them to perform better. Some of his accolades include winner ofCompuLynx Group Employee of the Year Award in the years 2000, 2002 and 2006. He is married. He relaxes by playing table tennis, rummaging through technology magazines and surfing the web.

Product Owner – Product Head, Digital Identity 


Avijit Dasgupta

Avijit is the Technology Product Head – Identity Management Fraud Loss Prevention (IMFLP) Practice at CompuLynx. Avijit directs technology planning, product roadmap & strategy development, operational transformation execution, technology leadership and business solution delivery for many customers including Banking, Insurance, Government, Education, and Humanitarian Aid Agencies.

Avijit joined CompuLynx in 2018 as a Product Owner – IMFLP (Identity Management Fraud and Loss Prevention). He brings over 15 years of extensive experience blending creative intellect, insight and sharp skills in Product Management, Project Management, IT Start-up Development, Enterprise Software Design & Development.

As an Agile Evangelist, he believes in ‘Being Agile’ rather than ‘Doing Agile’ whilst practicing agile methodologies and different frameworks. Always encouraging his team, colleagues, business partners to adopt agile and lean principles and techniques in their professional and personal life.

Prior joining to CompuLynx, Avijit worked with several mid-sized and start-up IT Companies based in USA, Germany, Australia, and India in different technical lead roles innovating, developing and delivering different software solutions for IPTV & IP Video Streaming, Mobile Apps, Oil & Gas, Power & Energy, Mobile Apps, and Start-up clients.

A Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, and a Certified Scrum Professional, Avijit holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from Kumaun University, India and a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Calcutta University, India.

Avijit is passionate about long-distance running, traveling, photography, cooking, listening to music, recitation, writing poetry in his native language (Bengali) and playing football. He has so far participated in more than 40 marathons and is actively associated with social welfare and cultural organizations. Avijit is married and has a son and daughter.

HR & Administration Manager


Joel Kibet

Joel Kibet is the Head of Human Resources and the Administration Manager. He oversees the entire HR department for all three CompuLynx regions: Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, and is responsible for all HR functions. He ensures that the organization’s administrative tasks are executed in a timely manner.

Joel is responsible for the following HR functions: planning HR and administration activities, overseeing recruitment, managing the payroll function, developing and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, managing employee relations programs, overseeing the office management function, and leading the HR department. He is also in charge of office administration, facilities management, and policy development. Joel has over ten years of experience in human resources.

Joel started as a Human Resource Officer at CompuLynx in 2018 and was promoted to Head of HR & Administration in 2021.

Joel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resource Management option from Moi University, a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Technical University of Kenya. Joel is a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) & the Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP).

Government Relations Manager


Bharti Savani

Bharti is the Government Relations Manager at CompuLynx. She leads in carrying out advocacy and relationship building with governments and county governments in the markets where we do business.  With more than 24 years’ experience in business, Bharti has an in-depth understanding of government legislative and regulatory processes including extensive knowledge and substantive public policy expertise on procurement, acquisition and supply chain.

Bharti joined CompuLynx in 2006 as a Marketing Head and rose through the position of Fiscal Head, Corporate Communications Manager to the Head of Government Business. She has been instrumental in growing CompuLynx Brand as well as acquiring government business.

Bharti holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and serves as a Vice-Chair in Board of Management at City Primary School. She previously worked as a teacher at Oshwal High School and Oshwal Jain Primary school between 1993 and 2003.

Branch Manager, Uganda

Kenn Ouko

Kenn Ouko is the Branch Manager, Uganda driving alignment of technology, business development and sales of CompuLynx products across Ugandan Market.

Ken has over 12 years’ extensive experience in Business Growth, EAS Design, and Installation, Technical Engineer for both Linux and Windows Servers, Trained Datacard Engineer for Hardware and specific software and Structured Cabling Design & Execution

He joined CompuLynx in 2006 as a Software Engineer and later moved to CompuLynx Uganda as Technical Head where he oversaw the implementation of various solutions in Uganda. Before joining CompuLynx, Kenn held several leadership positions in IT companies in Kenya.

Kenn holds a BSc in Computer Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), a Diploma in Computer Science & Electronics from KCITI. Additionally, Kenn is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Datacard Trained Engineer; trained in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Linux Administration, Programming – Visual Basic & Delphi and is currently training on Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH).

Changing Lives Through Education– WeCare Initiative

Through our WeCare initiative, CompuLynx family has been providing support to the residents of Mukuru Kwa Rueben since 2014. We offer eco-friendly, reusable sanitary towels as well as education on general hygiene to Students of KYDF Viwandani Secondary School based in Mukuru Kwa Rueben, in partnership with Real Reliefway. In the past, CompuLynx has donated a 10,000-liter water tank to the School, as well as text books to aid the Standard 8 pupils to adequately prepare for their examinations.
